Research Focus

Shovon research interests include satellite remote sensing of ocean, bio-optical algorithms and modelling of ocean carbon and bio-diversity, satellite-based modelling of fish dynamics and applications to fisheries. His research addresses issues relevant to environment and climate such as the changes in global primary production, regulations of the carbon cycle, water quality and management of marine resources.
