My research interest and expertise is in the area of Sustainable Built Environment and my research scholarly activities have been about exploring the synergies between the three dimensions of Sustainable Development; from whole life costing in UK construction industry (Economic) to social value in housing (Social dimension) and Biodiversity in construction (environmental).
My current research focuses on the link between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the built environment. I conduct internationally recognised, academically excellent and problem-oriented research that focuses on socio-technical innovative solutions to raise awareness for sustainable development practices that will increase the wellbeing of the built and human environments.
As part of my research interest and a strong passion for sustainable development, I founded the Construction4SDG2030 (http://www.construction4sdg2030.org.uk) forum (Construction Business Forum for the Sustainable Development Goals) in partnership with HTA Design LLP and WokenUp Ltd. The Construction4SDG2030 Business Forum is aimed at raising the awareness, facilitating dialogue and sharing best practice among construction industry stakeholders towards the integration of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development into business strategies.
