Research Focus

Dr Phuong Leung obtained her PhD in Psychiatry at University College London (UCL) and a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA); Teaching and Supporting Learning in Higher Education at UCL. Her research focuses on systematic reviews, designing, developing and evaluating the effectiveness of cognitive and psychosocial interventions for people with dementia and their family carers. She has developed and delivered her own dementia education training courses in the UK and globally. Her education training courses and leadership development consultancy aim to empower family carers and the health and social care workforce by translating theories and dementia research evidence of cognitive and psychosocial approaches/interventions into clinical practice.
