Research Focus

Ivan Montiel is an Associate Professor of Corporate Sustainability at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, the City University of New York. He investigates how businesses can tackle environmental and social grand challenges with a special focus on emerging economies. His research has appeared in the Journal of International Business Studies (2016, 2021), Strategic Management Journal (2012), Journal of Economics and Management Strategy (2009), Journal of Policy Analysis & Management (2013), Academy of Management Learning & Education (2017, 2018), Journal of Business Ethics (2009, 2019, 2020, 2020), Organization & Environment (2008, 2014), and Business & Society (2005, 2014, 2022), among others. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
