I am a transdisciplinary researcher with a focus on global change, coastal resource management, ecosystem services, and numerical ecology. I use biogeographical data, socio-economic surveys, and remote sensing technology to explain current state of coastal ecosystems with the end goal of making sound management decisions. Currently my work and research places me in the tropics and focuses in coastal ecosystems especially seagrass, mangroves, and coral. While originally born and raised in Minnesota, USA my dreams and professional goals have been on sustainable resource management and biodiversity in the tropics. My previous works has placed in the Philippines, Malaysia, Egypt, the Canary Islands, Tanzania, and Oahu.
