Research Focus

I am a Biochemist & Environmental toxicologist with interest in environmental (eco)toxicology of emerging environmental pollutants. My research focuses on understanding the biochemical factors that influence susceptibility to environmental and natural chemicals, such as pesticides, endocrine disruptors, heavy metals, and other organic and inorganic contaminants . I am currently integrating multi-omics (transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics) analysis to study the possible mechanisms of action of some emerging contaminants contributing to Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; Goal 13: Climate Action; Goal 14: Life Below Water; Goal 15: Life On Land etc. of the UN.
