Research Focus

Minh Hue’s publications have focused on English as an additional language (EAL) teachers’ professional learning in teaching contexts, including emotional experiences, identity development, mentoring, agency, and collaboration in teaching and learning. Her recent research monograph, titled English Language Teacher Education, explores the sociocultural contexts of teachers’ professional experiences, the preservice teachers as learners of English language teaching, and the activity of learning to teach English language in relation to the inter-related contextual and personal issues. The book “is among the top used publications on SpringerLink that concern one or more of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” (Springer). Her most recent research builds on and extends her previous work by examining professional learning for EAL teacher educators and how EAL and content areas teachers interpret and use the Victorian EAL Curriculum in designing differentiated learning for EAL students in content classrooms.
