Research Focus

Ijeoma Stephanie Ladele is a certified trainer and chartered mediator; with Research focus on nature based solution and natural resource management, gender and climate change, stakeholder engagement and community development, peace building, migration, disaster risk management and community mediation, with experience working on strengthening stakeholder engagement in community development projects and mediation using indigenous approach to resolving resource based conflict, gender-sensitive approaches to climate change
Her published works includes: *Mainstreaming Peacebuilding approach for sustainable development in Ukwa West, L.G.A, Abia State.
*Municipal waste management for environmental sustainability: A case study of University of Ibadan.
*Conflict sensitive approach to community development project: A case study of Itesiwaju community in Akinyele, Ibadan, Nigeria. Etc. She has served as panelist in high level discussion which includes community led partnership at West African Coastal Program (WACA) November 2018 at Dakar Senegal by World Bank sponsored.
*Fragility and social Cohesion in Action at International Finance Cooperation, Sustainability Exchange June, 2019 Dakar, Senegal by World Bank.

She has worked in various communities in south east, south west Nigeria in Implementation of community development project by the European Union Micro Projects in Niger Delta region. Member of Women in Migration Network, Women Mediators across Commonwealth Countries (WMC) West African Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) the Civil Society Coalition for Sustainable Development. Etc.
Ijeoma holds a B.SC in Environmental Resource Management, Post graduate Diploma in Peace and conflict Resolution (NOUN) Masters in Peace and conflict studies from Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies, University of Ibadan with specialization in Environmental Conflict.
