Research Focus

My research focuses in investigating the effects human activities (e.g. agriculture) and climate change on several aspects of biodiversity, and especially soil biodiversity. I’ m further interested in revealing links among soil biodiversity/functions, environmental characteristics and ecosystem services, promote biodiversity conservation as well as in develop methods to upscale the bio-indication potential of soil bio-communities from the sample to the landscape scale, or to scales that are important for conservation and management.
